MOQ & Orders

04 questions
What is your MOQ for custom tin boxes?
MOQ starts from 3,000 pieces. The final MOQ depends on the selected size, structure, printing requirements, number of artwork versions and whether existing molds or new tooling are required. Junmei confirms the workable quantity after reviewing the complete specification. See how these variables are handled in Custom Tin Solutions.
What are Junmei’s standard payment terms?
Standard payment terms are a 50% deposit, with the balance paid before shipment. Final terms are stated in the proforma invoice or contract and may be reviewed for the specific order. The deposit is normally confirmed before tooling, sampling or production work begins.
Does MOQ change for custom shapes or non-standard sizes?
It can. A special shape or non-standard size may require new tooling, a dedicated production setup, different tinplate utilization or additional forming checks. Artwork versions, inserts and packing requirements can also affect the workable quantity. Junmei confirms MOQ and development cost after the structure has been reviewed.
What information do you need for a quote?
Please send the product use, target dimensions or fill information, preferred shape and lid, quantity by artwork, destination market, required date, inner packing, outer-carton requirements and any requested documents. Artwork, a reference tin or a product sample also helps. Use the custom tin box RFQ checklist to prepare the first review.

Sampling & Lead Time

04 questions
How long does sampling take?
Samples are typically ready in 3–7 working days after the specifications and artwork are confirmed. A new mold, unusual structure, special finish or several approval rounds may require more time. Junmei confirms the sample type, cost and schedule for each project before work starts.
Can I get a physical sample before mass production?
Yes. A physical sample can be prepared to check dimensions, product fit, lid action, print direction, color reference, embossing or debossing, interior coating, insert and packing details before production approval. The required approval points should be recorded before bulk production. The Tin Box Design Guide explains what to prepare.
How long does mass production usually take?
Bulk production typically takes about 25 days after the required sample or artwork approval and order confirmation. Quantity, tooling, print complexity, packing and current production planning can change the final schedule. This production estimate does not include international transit time. Review the full tin box production process.
Can you support urgent seasonal projects?
Junmei can evaluate urgent and seasonal requirements, but feasibility depends on artwork readiness, mold availability, sample approval, quantity, packing, factory planning and the required arrival date. Share the destination and launch window early so production and freight milestones can be planned backwards. See the occasion packaging planning route.

Customization

05 questions
Can I customize the size and shape?
Yes. Junmei can develop round, rectangular, square and special-shaped tins. We normally compare the product and packout against existing formats first because an existing mold can reduce development work. If no suitable format exists, a new-tool route can be evaluated. Start with Products or compare tins by shape.
Can you make embossed or debossed tins?
Yes, when the artwork, panel position, lid structure and forming limits are compatible. The design must allow for edges, curls, seams and formed areas, while print-to-emboss registration is reviewed against the production method. The final effect should be approved on the dieline and, where required, a physical sample.
What printing and finishing options do you support?
Options commonly evaluated include offset printing, CMYK or specified spot colors, matte or glossy varnish, metallic effects, embossing, debossing and selected localized finishes. The workable combination depends on the artwork, tinplate, coating, structure and forming process. Review the printing and finishing preparation guide before sampling.
What artwork file format do you need?
Editable AI files or production-quality vector PDFs are preferred. Please provide vector logos, CMYK artwork, Pantone references where required, sufficient bleed and linked or embedded high-resolution images. Junmei supplies or confirms the production dieline after the structure is selected; do not finalize artwork on an unconfirmed template.
Can you help adjust my design for production?
Yes. Junmei can review artwork against the approved structure and production dieline, then flag practical issues around seams, curls, formed areas, embossing, bleed, print direction and color references. We support production-feasibility adjustments, while final brand content, trademarks and artwork approval remain the buyer’s responsibility.

Quality & Certifications

05 questions
Are your tin boxes food-safe?
Junmei manufactures food-safe custom tin packaging for applicable food projects. Suitability must be confirmed against the selected tinplate, internal coating, intended contents, direct-contact or inner-pack method, use conditions and destination market. Available reports and any project testing must match the actual material and scope; one result does not cover every tin or food application.
Can you provide FDA-related documents?
Yes. FDA-related reports and project-based testing support are available for applicable projects. The relevant report or test plan must be matched to the selected material, coating, contact condition, intended use and buyer requirement. This is not a claim that every tin or the factory is universally “FDA certified.” Review the Quality & Certifications evidence scope.
Do you have SGS, RoHS, ISO or Sedex documents?
Junmei has ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management-system certificates, Sedex supplier information, and SGS or RoHS-related reports within the available document set. These files serve different purposes: ISO covers management systems, Sedex provides supplier information, and laboratory reports apply to the tested sample, method and stated scope. Junmei provides the relevant current file for project review rather than treating them as one universal product certification.
How can sealing performance be verified?
Sealing performance is evaluated for the selected tin structure and use. Checks can include lid-fit inspection, opening and closing review, air-leak testing, a customer-specified protocol or third-party testing when required. Food-related tins generally provide reliable lid fit and strong moisture protection, but a strict airtight claim is made only when the approved structure and test evidence support it.
How do you control repeat-order quality?
Junmei can retain approved samples, artwork files, color references, production notes and inspection requirements as reorder references. Each repeat order should identify the approved version and list any material, artwork, process, insert or packing changes before production. These controls support batch consistency without promising an absolute zero color difference.

Packing & Shipping

04 questions
How are tin boxes packed for export?
Export packing is designed around the tin finish, structure, insert, packout and shipping risk. Depending on the project, Junmei can use individual protection, dividers, liners, inner cartons, outer cartons, pallets or other agreed protection. Final carton quantity, net and gross weight and loading arrangement are confirmed for the selected format and shipment plan.
Can you ship to the US or Europe?
Yes. Junmei supports export orders to the United States, Europe and other overseas destinations, and can provide project-specific freight quotations and shipping support. The destination, trade term, route, shipping method and forwarder responsibilities are confirmed for each order. Review the preparation guidance for US projects or European projects.
Can you provide export documents?
Yes. Junmei can coordinate standard commercial and packing information such as the commercial invoice, packing list and packing or loading photos according to the agreed order and shipment. Tell us before dispatch which additional documents your importer, forwarder or destination requires so availability and responsibility can be reviewed.
What information do you need for a shipping estimate?
Junmei can provide a project-specific freight quotation and shipping support. Please share the destination postcode or port, quantity, selected tin format, packing preference, preferred shipping method and required date. The quotation becomes more accurate after final carton dimensions, gross weight and shipment volume are confirmed. Send these details through the project brief.
