A physical sample is most useful when the buyer reviews it as part of the sample-to-production workflow against a written checklist. General comments such as “make it better” are difficult to convert into a controlled production instruction.
Confirm the physical structure
Check the external dimensions, usable internal space, lid movement, opening force and fit with the product or insert. If the tin is part of a gift set, review all components together.
Review printing and finishes
Use the design and finish checklist to compare color direction with the agreed reference under consistent lighting. Check logo position, small text, panel direction, varnish, metallic areas and any embossed or debossed details.
- Color and artwork alignment
- Surface scratches or marks
- Embossing position and definition
- Interior appearance and coating
Record the approval
Collect comments in one marked file, identify the approved sample version and keep a retained reference. This record becomes part of the project quality-control reference and reduces conflicting instructions when production begins.
