How to Prepare a Reference Pack for Repeat Tin Box Orders

A repeat order should begin with the approved reference from the previous production run. Relying on memory or a compressed product photo can create avoidable differences in color, structure or packing.

Keep the approved project files

Store the final artwork, dieline, color and finish references with the version that was released for production. File names should make the approved revision clear.

Retain physical and packing references

Where practical, keep an approved sample and photos of the final packing method as part of the quality-control reference. Record carton quantity, protective materials, labels and any special handling notes.

  • Approved production artwork
  • Color or print reference
  • Retained finished sample
  • Packing specification
  • Previous production comments

Review changes before reordering

Confirm whether the product, artwork, target market, coating or quantity has changed. Any change should be reviewed as a new project variable instead of being assumed to match the previous order.
