How to Discuss Interior Coatings for Food Tin Packaging

Junmei Packaging ResourcesPractical readingReviewed by Junmei project team

Interior coating discussions should start with the product and its use conditions, not with a generic color preference. Direct contact, an inner bag, product oils, acidity and storage expectations can change the review path.

Describe the filling system

Tell the factory whether the food touches the tin directly or is protected by a sealed bag, cup, liner or insert. This information defines the scope of the food-contact material and document review. Include the filling condition and expected storage environment where relevant.

Separate appearance from function

Gold, clear or other interior appearances may be visually different, but the decision should be based on the coating specification and intended application rather than color alone.

Confirm before production

Review the proposed material and coating, available documents, sample appearance and any special packing instruction. Keep the approved requirement with the project record before entering the production workflow.
