Seasonal gift packaging has a fixed retail window, so late artwork changes can affect more than the print schedule. Buyers should plan the project backwards from the required delivery date and leave time for review and approval.
Start with the delivery requirement
Confirm the destination, preferred shipping plan and the date finished goods need to be available. Build the production and approval schedule around that requirement instead of relying only on a launch date.
Lock the structure before final artwork
Select the size, shape, lid and insert direction before the design team completes final artwork. Special shapes or new tooling need additional review compared with an existing mold.
Protect approval time
Use the design and artwork checklist to allow time for dieline review, physical sampling, consolidated comments and final confirmation. Seasonal pressure is easier to manage when decision owners and approval deadlines are clear.
